The nine-stage funnel
Every conversation carries a pipeline stage, and threads flow from a new connection to a closed outcome.
Won, Lost, and Archive are terminal stages. Archive hides a thread from the default inbox. A live pipeline summary shows the count of conversations in each stage.
Three layers of staging
Staging updates from three sources, and they never fight each other.
- Automatic: New / Opening / Chatting are assigned deterministically from message direction — no reply yet → Opening; they replied → Chatting.
- AI-assisted: Claude Haiku judges the deeper stages (Discovery, Qualified, Call Booked, Won, Lost, Archive) from the recent thread plus your ICP.
- Manual override: Change any conversation’s stage with the S shortcut or the stage picker — your choice always wins.
Reminders
A reusable time-trigger you can drop on any conversation.
- Set one: Press R (or the bell) and pick a preset (“In 3 hours”, “Tomorrow”, “In 3 days”, “Next week”) or type natural language (“5d”, “2w”, “next tuesday”) with a live date preview.
- One per conversation: Set-not-append, with an optional note (≤280 chars).
- Reminders page: Due / upcoming / all views, search, and soonest-first sort — mark done, dismiss, reschedule, or delete.
- Auto follow-up: Set when you send a DM; fires ~3 days later if there’s no reply.
- Draft pending: Set when you save an unsent draft; fires ~1 day later, cleared when the draft is sent or deleted.
Auto-reminders never overwrite one you set by hand, and nothing fires on a cron — reminders surface purely by query at read time.
The action queue — your day
A prioritized “what do I do today” worklist on the dashboard, built from three live signals.
- Reminder due (highest): A reminder you set is now due.
- Needs reply: An unread inbound you owe a response to.
- Cold lead (lowest): A warm lead (Discovery / Qualified / Call Booked) gone quiet for 7–30 days.
- One row per conversation, tagged with why it surfaced (reason pills with icons).
- Scoped to the active pipeline within a 30-day window; a curated top-N (default 12, max 50).
- Mark a reminder done inline, or click any row to open the thread. Optionally filter to one account.
- Also exposed to Claude as an MCP tool, so Kanso can hand you your day conversationally.
